Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Chicks by Ren Yi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 214,200.00 (€ 25,430.14), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chicks von Ren Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 214.200,00 (€ 25.430,14) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.250.000,00 (€ 1.717.278,90).
