Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Tug Boats by Reginald Marsh for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,544.32). This price was achieved in the auction Two Centuries: American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reginald Marsh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Merry-Go-Round in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 790,000.00 (€ 747,964.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tug Boats von Reginald Marsh für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.544,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reginald Marsh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Merry-Go-Round im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 790.000,00 (€ 747.964,40).
