Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For Italian Girl, 2 by Reg Butler was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,142.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reg Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study For Italian Girl, 2 von Reg Butler wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.142,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reg Butler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
