Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figure in Space by Reg Butler was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,422.04). Admittedly, works by Reg Butler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figure in Space von Reg Butler wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 41.422,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reg Butler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
