Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure In Space by Reg Butler was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 35,164.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Reg Butler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figure In Space von Reg Butler kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 35.164,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reg Butler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Standing im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 146.500,00 (€ 183.044,74).
