Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Umberto Boccioni by Red Grooms for USD 756.00 (€ 667.96). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Red Grooms achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Joltin' Joe Takes a Swing in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 70,500.00 (€ 83,382.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Umberto Boccioni von Red Grooms für USD 756,00 (€ 667,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Red Grooms erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Joltin' Joe Takes a Swing im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.500,00 (€ 83.382,61).
