Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rebecca Horn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2021. In the The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur auction, the work Swan Ladder sold for EUR 4,375.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rebecca Horn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 124,000.00.
