Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seamless by Rebecca Horn was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) auction at Christies in New York in November 2003. The price achieved of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,464.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rebecca Horn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 124,000.00.

Die Arbeit Seamless von Rebecca Horn wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.464,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rebecca Horn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 124.000,00.
