Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Ray Parker for USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,469.21). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Summer Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ray Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 166,695.00 (€ 156,462.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2013 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ray Parker für USD 32.500,00 (€ 24.469,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Summer Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 166.695,00 (€ 156.462,36).
