In May 2021 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Raymond Hains. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,400.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Hains achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre, 1967 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 334,584.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Raymond Hains zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.400,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Hains erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1967 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 334.584,00.
