Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II, which included the work Senza titolo by Raymond Hains. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Hains achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre, 1967 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 334,584.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Senza titolo von Raymond Hains zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Hains erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1967 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 334.584,00.
