Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Palissade by Raymond Hains was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 25,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Hains achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre, 1967 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 334,584.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Palissade von Raymond Hains wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Hains erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1967 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 334.584,00.
