In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work 18 Shades in Ink (17) by Raymond Fung. The auction ended at the price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,465.07), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raymond Fung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breathing 1 in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit 18 Shades in Ink (17) von Raymond Fung zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.465,07) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raymond Fung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breathing 1 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 107.922,19).
