Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Don'T Compare Me To Him! by Ray Richardson was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,851.55). Admittedly, works by Ray Richardson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ostenders in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 37,666.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Don'T Compare Me To Him! von Ray Richardson wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.851,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Richardson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ostenders im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.900,00 (€ 37.666,96).
