This artwork by Raúl Anguiano achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2010. In the Latin American Sale auction, the work Acrobats sold for USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,355.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raúl Anguiano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La espina, which sold at auction in May 2005 for USD 156,000.00 (€ 126,326.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raúl Anguiano erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Sale wurde die Arbeit Acrobats für USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.355,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raúl Anguiano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La espina beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für USD 156.000,00 (€ 126.326,02) versteigert wurde.
