Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Untitled Large Anxious Red by Rashid Johnson. The price achieved of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 74,394.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rashid Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surrender Painting "Sunshine" in November last year with an auction result of USD 3,000,000.00 (€ 2,906,131.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Large Anxious Red von Rashid Johnson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 74.394,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rashid Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surrender Painting "Sunshine" im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.000.000,00 (€ 2.906.131,94).
