Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sans titre by Raoul Milian was auctioned at Christies in Paris in January 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 437.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Milian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2003 with an auction result of USD 13,145.00 (€ 10,958.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sans titre von Raoul Milian im Januar 2011 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 437,50 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Milian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 10.958,73).
