In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work Two Barges In A Canal by Raoul Hynckes. The result of EUR 2,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Hynckes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A still life with apples and a lemon in a bowl in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Barges In A Canal von Raoul Hynckes zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Hynckes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A still life with apples and a lemon in a bowl im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
