Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A village street in the Ardennes, Belgium by Raoul Hynckes was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Hynckes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A still life with apples and a lemon in a bowl in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 42,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A village street in the Ardennes, Belgium von Raoul Hynckes wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Hynckes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A still life with apples and a lemon in a bowl im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 42.000,00.
