This artwork by Raoul Millais achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs auction, the work The grey arab sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,601.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raoul Millais - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Horses With Grooms And A Spaniel In A Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 27,400.00 (€ 17,600.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raoul Millais erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs wurde die Arbeit The grey arab für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.601,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Raoul Millais mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Horses With Grooms And A Spaniel In A Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 27.400,00 (€ 17.600,21) versteigert wurde.
