Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Fenêtre ouverte sur Paris et composition florale by Raoul Dufy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 96,401.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raoul Dufy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Regattes À Trouville in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,505,000.00 (€ 2,075,171.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fenêtre ouverte sur Paris et composition florale von Raoul Dufy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 96.401,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raoul Dufy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Regattes À Trouville im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.505.000,00 (€ 2.075.171,47).
