Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Rao Zongyi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,476.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rao Zongyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Flowers and Fruits in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 8,040,000.00 (€ 894,338.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Rao Zongyi kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.476,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rao Zongyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Flowers and Fruits im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.040.000,00 (€ 894.338,64).
