Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ralph Todd could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Paintings auction, the work Runaway Chickens changed hands for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,333.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ralph Todd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An entanglement in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,350.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ralph Todd konnte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British & Continental Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Runaway Chickens für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.333,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ralph Todd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An entanglement im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 22.350,24).
