Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists, which included the work Awaiting news by Ralph Todd. The price achieved of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,357.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Todd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An entanglement in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,350.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit Awaiting news von Ralph Todd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.357,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Todd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An entanglement im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 22.350,24).
