Despite a disappointment, a good price for Raffaele Tafuri
This work of art by Raffaele Tafuri could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Nineteeth Century European Art auction, the work Venetian vista changed hands for USD 14,100.00 (€ 16,615.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Venetian vista is the most expensive artwork by Raffaele Tafuri that we have observed at auction so far.
