Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work In the Venetian lagoon by Raffaelle Mainella. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 1,893.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Raffaelle Mainella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jerusalem in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Venetian lagoon von Raffaelle Mainella zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 1.893,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raffaelle Mainella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jerusalem im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19).
