In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Children swimming in the Nile by Raffaelle Mainella. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,400.00 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raffaelle Mainella - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jerusalem, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,910.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children swimming in the Nile von Raffaelle Mainella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.400,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Raffaelle Mainella mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jerusalem beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.910,19) versteigert wurde.
