Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Installation of Ghost, 1990-2012 by Rachel Whiteread was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of GBP 408.00 (€ 464.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rachel Whiteread achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Colours) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 445,250.00 (€ 565,695.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Installation of Ghost, 1990-2012 von Rachel Whiteread kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 408,00 (€ 464,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rachel Whiteread erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Colours) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 445.250,00 (€ 565.695,14).
