Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Under The Influence, which included this untitled work by Rachel Harrison. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,278.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rachel Harrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Nineties, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 88,200.00 (€ 79,509.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under The Influence durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rachel Harrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.278,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rachel Harrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Nineties beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 88.200,00 (€ 79.509,60) versteigert wurde.
