The price achieved of GBP 597.50 (€ 894.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Other works by R. Douglas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2000 the work Sorting the catch; and Fishermen's cottages on the coast was auctioned for GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,696.90).
