Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rudolph Carl Gorman could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work New Dawn changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 308.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolph Carl Gorman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work #1 in April this year with an auction result of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,661.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rudolph Carl Gorman konnte im März 2011 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit New Dawn für USD 437,50 (€ 308,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolph Carl Gorman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit #1 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.661,68).
