Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work An RC Gorman pastel drawing, 1976 by Rudolph Carl Gorman was sold in the Native American Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,485.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolph Carl Gorman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work #1, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,661.68).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit An RC Gorman pastel drawing, 1976 von Rudolph Carl Gorman wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Native American Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.485,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolph Carl Gorman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit #1 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.661,68) versteigert wurde.
