The price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,655.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Ball Spencer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Florentine in the Channel off Dover in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,729.23).
