In April 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work An Old Woman In An Interior Saying Grace Before A Meal by Quiringh van Brekelenkam. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,113.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Quiringh van Brekelenkam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lacemaker's School in January last year with an auction result of USD 453,600.00 (€ 404,566.54).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Old Woman In An Interior Saying Grace Before A Meal von Quiringh van Brekelenkam zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.113,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Quiringh van Brekelenkam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lacemaker's School im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 404.566,54).
