Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Hermit Praying by Quiringh van Brekelenkam was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,820.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Quiringh van Brekelenkam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lacemaker's School in January last year with an auction result of USD 453,600.00 (€ 404,566.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Hermit Praying von Quiringh van Brekelenkam kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.820,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Quiringh van Brekelenkam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lacemaker's School im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 404.566,54).
