Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work A Monk Reading by Quiringh van Brekelenkam. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,538.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Quiringh van Brekelenkam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lacemaker's School in January last year with an auction result of USD 453,600.00 (€ 404,566.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Monk Reading von Quiringh van Brekelenkam zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.538,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Quiringh van Brekelenkam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lacemaker's School im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 404.566,54).
