Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings Sale, which included the work A Modest Interior With An Elderly Couple Seated At A Table, Eating Mussels And Bread by Quiringh van Brekelenkam. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Quiringh van Brekelenkam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lacemaker's School in January last year with an auction result of USD 453,600.00 (€ 404,566.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Modest Interior With An Elderly Couple Seated At A Table, Eating Mussels And Bread von Quiringh van Brekelenkam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Quiringh van Brekelenkam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lacemaker's School im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 453.600,00 (€ 404.566,54).
