Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work The South Lake by Qin Qi. The price achieved of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 58,413.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qin Qi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Beautiful Ride No. 1, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The South Lake von Qin Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 58.413,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Qin Qi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Beautiful Ride No. 1 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17) versteigert wurde.
