Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meat by Qin Qi was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 5,147.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qin Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Beautiful Ride No. 1 in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 164,345.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meat von Qin Qi wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 5.147,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qin Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Beautiful Ride No. 1 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 164.345,17).
