In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Pavilion by a Stream by Qian Songyan. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,356.96), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Songyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 400,044.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pavilion by a Stream von Qian Songyan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.356,96) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Songyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 400.044,82).
