Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sun Setting by Qian Songyan was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 1,537.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Songyan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 400,044.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sun Setting von Qian Songyan wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 1.537,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Songyan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 400.044,82).
