A top price for Qian Songyan
When the work Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie by Qian Songyan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 600,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 400,044.82). This high result makes Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie the most expensive artwork by Qian Songyan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Qian Songyan
Als die Arbeit Scenery Of Huang Yang Jie von Qian Songyan im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 600.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 400.044,82) mehr als fünfmal so hoch.
