The work Scholar Holding Stick by Qian Hui'an was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. It achieved a price of HKD 40,320.00 (€ 5,246.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Hui'an achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 79,420.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scholar Holding Stick von Qian Hui'an wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 5.246,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Hui'an erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 79.420,66).
