This artwork by Qian Hui'an achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Immortals sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,755.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qian Hui'an have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 79,420.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qian Hui'an erzielte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Immortals für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.755,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qian Hui'an auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 79.420,66).
