The work Returning Home in the Rain by Qian Gu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 9,504.56), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 426,693.98).

Die Arbeit Returning Home in the Rain von Qian Gu wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 9.504,56) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qian Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500.000,00 (€ 426.693,98).
