Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Pavilions in the Tree Shade by Qian Gu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,566.64), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qian Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 500,000.00 (€ 426,693.98).
