Die Arbeit Pea Pods And Grasshopper von Qi Liangchi wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 2 bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 7.080,00 (€ 818,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qi Liangchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Longevity Peach,Crabs And Shrimps im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.600,00 (€ 6.407,20).
