Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Studio Name in Running Script by Qi Gong. The price achieved of HKD 44,625.00 (€ 5,244.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio Name in Running Script von Qi Gong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 44.625,00 (€ 5.244,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
