Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Asian Art, which included the work Red bamboo and calligraphy by Qi Gong. The price achieved of AUD 3,690.00 (€ 2,277.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red bamboo and calligraphy von Qi Gong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.690,00 (€ 2.277,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
