Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poems In Running Script by Qi Gong. The price achieved of HKD 281,600.00 (€ 32,904.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poems In Running Script von Qi Gong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 281.600,00 (€ 32.904,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
